Is there a Cold Air Intake made by GM for The SS S/C

I dont want to void my warranty and i want to bring my engine sound to life. Is there any GM Cold Air Intakes out there for the 2.0?

No there is no GM CAI, it depends on the dealer that you get your warranty work done at, they might require for them to install it

are you sure i was always told that any mods not by gm would void the warranty. Even if i can put on any intake and anything goes wrong with the car they will blame it on abuse just because of the intake i just dont want to get bullshitted

i wouldnt put on another stage 2 kit if bob lutz personally put it on himself and signed the paper saying warranty is not voided , the dealers do whatever the **** they want

so lets say all dealers suck because you had one problem with it, the dealer has to prove that the aftermarket part is the problem

The dealer cannot void your warranty unless the part in question caused the problem. A cold air intake does not void your warranty.

Secondly, there is a GM Cold Air Intake, but only for the 2.2L and the 2.4L.

Dont listen to him. He's got post dealer rape jitters. Look at the list of crap I have done to my car and I have no problems going in for warranty fixes. Fortunately I have a dealer with nice people in it. However if you put an aftermarket intake on your car and your supercharger magically gets clogged with dirt ( WILL NEVER HAPPEN ) then the dealer is not required to fix your Supercharger. Do a google search on the Magnusson act.

there not gonna VOID the warranty BUT what they will do is refuse service on it which is pretty much the nicer version

i hope thats true my car only has 3200 miles on it. First i wanted to get an Intake Then the Stage 2 then thats it im leaving it alone. I just heard alot of stories about dealers blaming problems on mods and assuming abuse. Off Topic how much of a difference will i feel with just a CAI and The Stage 2, Power and 1/4 mile estimate?

So that's what happened to you huh? Sorry to hear that. But alas, most dealers MAY try to screw you, but if you know your stuff, then the above story won't happen. This is the first time I've heard of it happening in all honesty.

the magnusson act only prevents getting the car voided , though it doesnt help in the actual fixing problem , it just doesnt let the dealer void your warranty

I don't doubt your knowledge, man. I know you know what you're talking about/doing. You know a hell of a lot more than me.

I was just going on from my experiences. There is one dealer who I always go to, they are pretty receptive to mods.

Calm down dude. We're not challenging you at all. Just going by our own experiences.
