Thinking of cutting the silencer

I just got the Cobalt a couple of hours ago so I am planning on taking off the silencer tomorrow and putting a pipe connecting the tip. Do u guys recommend me doing that??? I want to hear the engine a lil more

you mean take off the muffler? I don't know how lenient cops are around you but I wouldn't recommend it. If you want to hear the engine more get intake/headers/dp/actual exhaust and I think it would sound a lot better than just no muffler. Or hell even if you JUST get a new exhaust it would sound better.

Lots out there, Hahn, Magnaflow, Coursa, GM, Tsudo, etc

Thanks for the response, I didn't know they would sound so DARN LOUD!!!! it's not that BAD!!! but it really is loud lol. I am thinking on leaving it like that till I get the exhaust from one of those brands. Makes me drive slower since I have to keep the car low reved so it won't sound so loud lol.
