Actually, the guys from GM Eternal were at LACR with me when I had the set-up. It doesn't work. Stage 3 if definetly worth getting, but with nitrous! I have it and damn, I love it!!! It actually hits about 19~20lbs of boost with the stock stage 3 pulley once you spray. If you get smaller pulleys, then you will definetly boost past 20lbs, lean out, screw-up your injectors and end up posting up a thread, "My Cobalt sounds like a Subaru"

No they don't. Actually had a set of Autolites, the ones that are recommended, took them out, caused more problems no matter what gap I set them at. Reinstalled stock plugs at 35 thousanths gap, runs smoother.

I guess I'll just buy everything seperatly... i think the stage 2 injectors are 42.5 so i'm gonna get them from crateengine w/ injector harness, along with the stage 2 hub and bolts, belt, and the stage3 pulley oh can't forget the stage 3 ecu.. thats the most important... Its actually cheaper to get everything separate then it is all together.. hmmm

I'm personally going Stg 3 with spray. To me adding a smaller pully is going to wear your engine all the time. N20 is going to run you when you really need it to go that fast, but for day to day, stage 2 gets you up an onramp like a bat out of hell anyway.

Having the stage 3 pcm protecting your engine during the shot is good too.

I agree. If something goes wrong, it stops spraying. Which is good. Like I said, on spray, it builds about 19~20lbs of boost and sounds freakin' awsome

The only problem with Stage 3 and N20 is it is kinda the stopping point. Most stuff is cost prohibitive at that point so it should prolly be on to the buy a faster car mod anyway though.

True... If the cobalt works out for me and everything i may even upgrade internals in order to rev to 8,000... that'd be sweet.

a cobalt capable of runing in the 12's is good enough for me.

Very pleased with it. Runs very smooth with enough power for my needs. Pulls as good if not better than my STG2 w/2.8. Others that have riden in my car are looking into the same setup.

did you try to put in the 1 step colder plugs?? do you have any knock with the stock plugs?

another question...
since the 42.5 pound injectors are basically maxed out while on spray... is it possible to switch to 60lb injectors without any problems. do you have to tune for them??

I stated in a previous post, my drivebility suffered with the Autolites, regardless of the gap I set them to. Top end misfire was the most prevelant, (poof around 6700rpm) and some excelleration stumble. Switched back to stock plugs @ .35 and been fine ever since. I have watched knock retard on a Tech2, and saw none, also monitored IDC and IAT2 readings. IDC's were high, but not maxed. IAT2 peaked @120 degrees. I have total confidence in the Stage3 setup and pay no attention to monitoring it. A friend and customer of mine that previously owned a Cobalt, installed 60# injectors w/2.79 pulley and ended up with more problems than with the 42's. "This was also with being dyno tuned by a realiable tuner."
IMO, stick with the full Stage 3 setup as per instructions without modifications. Some will disagree, but I am yet to see a problem with Stage2 or 3.

He is right. I'm running stock plugs with no problems. Don't change pulleys or injectors, just stick with GM. After all, if they built it, they must know it best.

We are refering to GM's Stage3, the parts in ( ) in my sig. As far as how fast?, not sure what is ment. Accel time?, 0-60, 1/4 mile? I don't race in straight lines, never timed myself that way with my current setup.
