the 4.2 is WAY better. Not only can you get it for about 30-50 bucks TOTAL, but it is bigger anyway. Screw that saturn motorsports one.

^^^

Gonna have to agree. Though if you want to spend that much money, have the 4.2 TB professionally reworked and machined.

you can pick one up at your local junk yard, change the etc scaler to 4500 and limit boost in first and second to help with jerking.

there's gotta be another way to solve the jumpiness. Limiting boost is not an option that I like.

You just need to drive the car different, 1st gear is totally useless. I just went back to the stock throttle body after 2 weeks with the larger LS4 on and the car feels way more sluggish, it just the throttle response, when the car is WOT it is just as fast as before

A heavy tune will be required to limit jumpiness without limiting boost - you have to reprogram the computer that controls the motor that swings the actual TB.

i thought thats what changing the etc scalar to 4500 accomplished. I already need to limit boost in first gear without the new TB, once i put it on i'm definitely turning it down to about 14 psi max.

Also, for performance difference, i'm sure if you port the inlet to your m62 supercharger to accommodate and match it to the TB then there has to be some performance difference. Rebel dynoed their car and found almost a 10 hp difference without a tune besides the scalar change.
