it's a biased view on the LS4 TB. There is a gain to be had. And if you had 2 cars with the same exact mods race each other, and they were dead even, and then 1 car put the ls4 TB on, that car would definitely start to pull away.

i believe it, especially on a blower.
Yea, thats what lsjwannabe was telling me. But said because it's so touchy most members just don't bother with it....
the touchiness is basically the only negative effect of it. I daily drive my car and I don't want to lose any driveability, but I really don't think that a big throttle body will be that hard to get used to. Now cams, that's something I couldn't get used to. I've done the cam thing and waiting 30min on your car to warm up in 0 degree weather just so you can drive it without the lopiness shutting the car off is just rediculous. A big throttle body should be that bad.

its amazing how the cobalt crowd is starting to sound like the turbo dodge crowd. those guys complain about a mod not doing enough for the car and this mod not worth it and that one, pretty soon you have 15 mods that arent worth doing because they only gain you 3hp a piece but in the end its 20hp over the guy who didnt do it.

Touchy as in you give it 1/1000th too much gas in 1st or 2nd gear and the car sputters, bucks, and surges like a ****... A small touch is comparable to opening the throttle a lot more on the stock TB. I read something like 30% more throttle for a given position with the LS4. 1st gear is even more unusable than before. Power gains are around 11ft/lbs if I remember correctly... It def takes some getting used to. If it's just you in the car, you can drive it kinda rocky, but it takes some finesse to really drive it smooth...
i installed the LS4 TB on my car and it does make it touchy, but with access to hptuners and limiting of 1st gear boost, it isn't so bad. I dunno how much gain is to be had, i heard the stock TB only starts losing Hp at about 400hp.
I still like to believe that it helps at the high rpm range where you're pushing the blower and if i get a TVS then its one part i don't have to buy.

There is a thread floating around where RAW dyno'ed it back in the day. Search around. I'm pretty positive most of the gains we in the low end and mid range.. Something like 11 torque. It takes ALOT to max the stock TB even at high rpm's...
