throttle body help

i wanna clean my TB and i have seen that you have to take it off, now i have some questions before i start this,

1) can i just take off the intake and and clean the TB or do i have to take the whole thing off??

2) when i take off the TB i see a lil orange rubbery thing very close to the TB is that a gasket ? and if so when i take off the TB can i resure it or??

i just took the intake off and cleaned the throttle body with some spray worked fine got rid of the floating needle at idle but to really get everything clean you must remove the throttle body

i'll get to that some day but that worked for me for now

and yes its a gasket and yes you just put that one back in no need to replace it

1. Yes but there is a lot of buildup on the s/c inlet that you SHOULD clean out. DO NOT SPRAY the t/b cleaner into your supercharger EVER!

2. reuse the s/c gasket

The only problem with removing the t/b is the harness because it has a "lock" to prevent tampering, you have to depress the gray tab and slide the lock out before you can remove the harness and it's a tad tricky.
