Whenever I accelerate I get this loud ticking/clicking noise from the engine bay. Sounds like its coming from the passenger side foot-well. This only happens under load; I can rev the engine to 5k RPM without getting this noise.

From what I've read I'm thinking it's an exhaust leak, but I want to know what else I should check. Any input would be appreciated.

check your flex pipe section. sounds like a leak to me.

 

Yea probably flex pipe and possibly exhaust manifold gasket

 

Earlier tonight I put my hand near the flex pipe while at idle, and it felt like a blow dryer coming out of the flex section. Not to mention the smell of exhaust, so this is definitely the problem. Need to get this fixed asap, the sound is downright embarrassing.

 

I have a stock down pipe if you would like to buy it I took it off around 35K.....$40 picked up and it's yours.
