Timing?
It changes when you are cruising depending on what level of boost your at and what rpm you are at. But when your wot in a stage 2 car the timing is set at a max of 15 degrees.
Edit: If you want I can post a screen shot of the stage 2 high octane map so you can see how it works.

that would be great

If you are not running methanol injection though you can't really increase your timing all that much over the stage 2 file otherwise you will have knock. If you get methanol injection you can add up to 10 degrees of timing ontop of the 15 in stage 2 for a total of 25 degrees of timing.
I have seen cars knock with 19 degrees so be careful on that. Basically just increase it a degree at a time and see when and where you get the knock. You should be able to run 17degrees on 93 octane no problem.
indeed....without meth...when i had stage 2 on the m62 i got to 17-19* and i seen some knock...so i had to back it down. I highly doubt buddy is making 24* of timing without meth...if he is he probably has 6* of knock.
my 07 gm stage 2 ran 22* of timing w/ no knock, i dont know how or why but it ran great
methanol is super high octane(116 octane rating). remember octane is resistance to detonation

Actually the distilled water helps cool the iat2's down and the methanol acts as a higher octane which in return helps with detonation. The higher octane you run the more timing you can run. Methanol has an octane rating of like 116, so this really helps when running more timing. This is also why its recommended to run 93octane or higher on gm stage 2/3 vehicles, because they have higher timing maps 15 degrees to be exact. So if you want to run 25 degrees, 10 degrees over stage 2 timing, you really should be running methanol injection.
You can run higher octane fuel without meth and run higher timing yes. You could run race gas or e85 and run a decent amount of timing yes. However how much timing really just depends on what your motor likes and what octane fuel your using.
