tires

i have a spare set of rims and if i were to get a pair of tires just for the strip what would u guys recomend are dr's the best choice or is there a good street tire i can get cuz i might wanna do some steet drags to

prob not gonna find a drag radial for a 18 that will fit.. I have BFG drag radials on 17's and they are awesome on the street.

I'm in the same boat and need to buy some tires soon.. I hear good things about the nitto NT05 but maybe someone will chime in with more info.

both the nt05 and nt01 are drag radials from my understanding. the nt01 is a bit more agressive and the nt05 is good for track use as well as strip where the nt01 is more geared toward the strip.

edit** the nt05 is a street tire. the nt05R is a drag radial

i have 3 245/40/18 conti sport contacts 2 i believe...don't know if that will help haha! used these tires at the track and did fine! only reason i have 3 is cuz i was comin home from the track and picked up a nail in the sidewall pissed me off!
