TOG Headers Start Shipping on 19-20 December
Just to let everyone know, the headers have been completed, and they are being shipped on the 19-20 which is next monday or tuesday. He said they are F'n sharp and we'll be able to use all the factory gaskets. Just be careful during the install not to damage them.
and for the important info... i wanted to wait until the headers shipped before i gave the tips on the install, so everyone got it...
the best way to do this install is to unbolt the downpipe from the manifold and let it drop down. (it'll drop a couple inches) and it's easier to do this from under the car, i broke one of the bolts because i was in a hurry during the install.
also while you're below the car, unhook the o2 sensor wire clip from the car and leave it hanging in the manifold... it's easier to remove/install from the manifold to the header when they are out of the car (plus no chance of you damaging it if it's inside the manifold)
after that, lower the car down and you can remove the manifold completely from the top, if you're working from the passenger's side. it's going to take a little while, some of the bolts near piston #1 require a wrench and you can turn it about 1/4 turn at a time.
the manifold will drop right out through the bottom, you can wiggle it through the top, but it's easier to just drop it down.
also don't forget it's an aluminum head, and you should put a dab of antisieze on the bolts before you resintall.
you'll need a ratchet, a deepwell socket and a couple of wrenches to do the install and it took me about 3 hours by myself with no lift and no airtools (only jackstands) to do the complete job.
hope this helps out guys.. and now you'll be able to see the gains i've had for over 2 months

i can't wait to see what the gains are on any of the cars, because i used the lowest gain dyno i had when i posted the 10whp...so that 10whp isa minimum of gains on a mustang dyno
i'd say on a dyno jet they will be seeing between 18-20whp on average, with no other mods

i'm not sure if he is still doing the group buy, i think he said his shop phone was still disconnected because he's still trying to setup his new shop

i don't know how he normally does it... when i got the prototype in, it was shipped through fedex, but i can't remember for sure
