Totally confused help plz

Ok I know NOTHING about cars so bare with me. I have 06 ss/sc and want to know what would be the better buy. The stage 2 kit from GM or the stage 1 Kit from OTTP? They both see about the same gains? Do I also have to find a place to tune it after either kit is installed(which will be done by gm mechanic)? Along with one of those i also plan on getting a CAI. which one do you guys recommend? Thats about all the $$$$ I have to spend right now so I need the input from you pro's.

Much appreciated
Tim

Youll get more power from the OTT kit.

You get a nice tune from them as well. You have to send your PCM to them... Or you can have them send you one, but then theres some stuff you have to do at the dealership... So i would just send in the ecu..

You get more out of the OTT kit anyway... larger injectors and a nicer pulley...

If you order from ott there is no reason to go to deal if you send your ecu to them.

I doubt the dealer will install parts from OTTP. IF they did, your warranty would go to the *******.

Im not worried about the warranty cause its up in 6 weeks anyway. As far as paying the dealer my buddy is the dealership owner and a friend of his will do the work at the shop on his own time.

as far as taking ecu off and sending it in????

You can't drive the car without the ECU. When you get it back from OOT you can't drive the car until you install the new parts because the tune will be configured for the new set up.

It would probably be best to drive your car where your buddy is gonna do the install. Have him remove the ECU and then wait till all the parts come in.

Ok so I have this right. I take car to buddies, remove ecu, send it to ottp and when their stage one kit gets back to me I have the injectors pulley belt and ecu installed and thats it? Then tune is already done to the ecu?

Will adding an aftermarket CAI after all that affect the tune?

Thanks
Tim

Pretty much and according to their web site you'll need to fill out what mods you have done to the car so they can upload the correct tune.
