tranny

so funny story happened about 2 monthes ago i ended up bowing my tranny up buy doing a burnout, real smart right lol, car had about 89000 miles on it. Had to pay for a new transmission and bought a stage 3 zzp clutch while i was at it. took about a month for full install and for me to have my car back. So i drove it 500 miles with out ever slipping or hitting boost. Was a little rougher on it till 1000 miles on the new tranny and clutch. So this last friday i take it out for our local cruise and at the end of the night i do a launch in the car and it makes a loud noise in the engine bay. I get out and look and who would have guessed the tranny blew again. . had it towed but to gm dealership and have to wait till monday to talk to them. Think it is the same problem as last time which a spider gear broke off of the differential and went threw the casing. Any ideas from you guys and why this happened again so quickly. Am i really putting down that much Power?

Did you reuse the same axles from the old trans that blew. If you did reuse them did you make sure to inspect the splines to make sure there is no damage. Also I'm hoping your not this stupid but are both your front tires the same size.

Why is this a funny story?

Breaking a spider gear ≠ blowing the transmission. That would be breaking the differential.

(It would actually be funny if you were caught blowing a tranny)
tranny = transexual

Besides preloading at the tree and having rotated mounts, what other tricks if any?? Greatly appreciated by the way, been stalking you for a while.....no homo.

well the dealership installed it all and said it was all good but idk why the spyder gears would give that easily. All i installed on the tranny is the upgraded clutch and polly mounts so idk did anyone ever hear about this happening?? My other tranny had many burnouts on it and no issues??

Don't dump the clutch. Just release it fast and you won't break your transaxle. Your not preloading and shocking the drivetrain. Or just stop doing burnouts unless your in a wet box. Grow up a little no offense

yeah don't do burnouts in 1st gear hahahah. and don't try and shift if you're spinning. i'm on a factory open diff 4.05 with many many 550-600hp dyno pulls. monster highway pulls. and 21 track passes roasting the tires on the burnout. still holds like a champ
