If you were gonna bash the guy the least you could have done was spell FOREIGNER correctly...ass.
You said you had stage 2 installed? Did they put the tune on correctly? could have been a problem there.
I agree with everyone else, the airbox mod would not cause you to change gears at lower speeds.

jason...i am a american i born in puerto rico . puerto rico is a common wealth of usa so i am not imigrant so whatever dude you are the dumb **** there i spell that right for you or F U C K Y O U!!! i did the stage 2 and after that i did the airbox mod i dont know i gess is just me!! but i wont come back to the iarbox mod i stay with stock box until i get the catback i thinking maybe the fact tha i ad too much power and i dint at a bigger outlet with the catback....
The airbox mod is not adding too much flow to the exhaust and even if it did it wouldn't lower your redline at all. Are you sure you're going to the redline when you drive?
BTW I wasn't making fun of you. I was calling the guy who called you a "dumb foreigner" an *******.

yeah dude i know you kool um my redline is 7000 as any stage2 is not my redline what i think it change i look at the speed at 6000 rmp that i was doing in each gears what i notice was that 1 gear at 6000rmp was 20mph wehn i went back to stock at 6000rmp i was doing over 25 like i say in each gear i getting more speed off the car.... then again i use one off this pepboys filters so i dont know .......
i dont think it was something else becuse after i went to stock airbox the car went back to be the same beast of before the only way to solve this is in dyno or the track ....... so let me see what i can do!!!! thank everybody
i did notice in my other cars that i have before the same problems too .. sometime thing tha we think that work good for the cars are only mist and not good...

I have the airbox mod and the stage 2 setup. Like everybody said, your gear ratios should not be affected. Other than a louder scream and a lil quicker response, I haven't noticed any loss in speed based on rpm.
ok.. when I max out my gears just for the record...(not saying the airbox has anything to do with it but.... for the record) 1st takes me to 36mph and 2nd-62mph, 3rd-100mph
I don't see how you said 1st takes you to 20. and 2nd to like 40.......
somethings up with that.
I don't see how you said 1st takes you to 20. and 2nd to like 40.......
WAO YOU DO 36 at 1 gear so that mean you drive only with 2 gear at regular 40 mph speed limit roads......uummm
No like If I'm really trying to go fast/race/etc.. then that's what it maxes at. Like casual driv'n is diff. 40mph i'd be at like 5th gear if i'm cruis'n... possibly 4rth. But if i'm really max'n out gears then I'd be hitt'n those numbers in those gears. I only have flowmaster exhaust and airbox mod. so yeah.
when you said 20mph is your max for first..(meaning redline'n) i was like.. no way! lol

I have a test for you. With your stock filter, go somewhere and do 80mph in 5th gear. You should be at exactly 3k on the tach.
Now, go home and put in the aftermarket filter (making sure to disconnect the battery for 10--15 minutes before turning the car on again). With the a/m filter on, go out again and hit 80mph in 5th. When you look at your tach you should also be at exactly 3k rpms.
^ If those are your results, then it was all in your head and you can rest easy.
