I called a shop here in Toronto to get a tune since im running lean. I installed a xtc downpipe w/hi flow cat,KN typhoon CAI, and a magnaflow cat back. The guy say's he can get me maybe 20 hp from a tune alone? Does this sound right, and can he increase my boost with the tune to 11-12 psi? He said i will need about 6-10 runs on the dyno, and will be using HP tuners. Sound right, or BS!?

 

stock psi is 12.5.

 

12? Im only pushing 8 psi? WTF is happening to my car? Are u sure, cause someone told me they run on 8psi, but can be brought to 12psi safely, before needing to change injectors and crap?

 

haha yes dude positive. i bumped up my injectors and pulley and see 14psi now

the max boost on a stock pulley is 12.5 psi like he said. Doesn't mean you'll hit it all the time. It just depends on your location and a couple other factors.

If you really want more boost, get a smaller pulley and bigger injectors. That'll give you a good increase out of a tune.
