tuning help for 07 s/c.

well the HP tuners vcm suite will be ordered shortly, but im trying to get everything i need before i order it. right now i have injen CAI, gm cat abck exhaust, im gonna do a gm honed manfold, and thats all im gonna do, then tune it. id like to get a 7300 rev limit, and im not sure if the stock injectors can handle the rmp since they may defuel them selves, so im looking at injectors only, and im going to be running stock pulley size, just dont know what injectors i should use. any recomnedations?

Well injectors are basically maxxed from factory there maybe 10-15% idc left depending on boost and ambient temps... If you want help tuning let me know ill send you a base file and we can work with it.... Ill teach you the basics if need be...... text me.. 270-505-3212 or you can call...

10-15% might even been an overestimate. Mine pegged 98%. I would personally not raise the rev limit at all on the stock injectors. For the stock pulley and a higher than stock rev limit go for the 42 lb injectors.

Lol ( i james) know how to tune (stock pulley = leaner afr on a steady ramp). So it can be done. It all depends on volume and mass for fuel.. I can make it work

I should have prefaced this by saying that this was the stock tune as well (no doubt very rich). The point is that you really want more margin of safety with your IDC's. Can you do it? Sure? By why would you want to? (STX class autocross is the only reason I can think of since you can't change out injectors) Ultimately, Injectors are cheap and you'll leave yourself plenty of headroom for future improvement.

yes, i have researched what i could find on here and it seems i could just put the 42's in and tune after that, that will also let me like you said room for some inprovment later, maybe a 3.0 pulley? but no pulley fora while, right now my mods would be CAI (injen) gmpp manifold, gmpp cat abck exhaust and the 42's/retune. sounds like a good set up for reliability and a lil bit more HP out of the car as it is. i may have to bump up to 60's if i do the 3.0, but for now the 42's should work for the minor stuff.

Because its substained by tuning which is somthing that needs to happen when mods are done.... The stock afr for a stock lsj ranges from 9.0 and down to low 10s. So say you tune maf and even ve and get your pe set to say 11.3 low end and have it ramp to 11.5-11.8 top end your idcs will be around 85-90% Even with the revs at 7200. Yes i think if idcs are that high it needs injectors but this is also how i look at it, if its not always getting into then the injectors are fine, now f this car is 50/50 in bost and out on wot pulls then yes change injectors.!!

Also 42s will work up to a 2.9-2.8 depending on some stuff is it smart to be on 42s with a 2.8 no. But it can be done and i kept idcs lower then 95%.

This is my point im making ( if your idcs are 95-100% which id change my injectors if they were. Wont fail ure injectors unless ure always on it meaning getting to that 95%-100% idc level..
