Who makes a tuning program for the ss/sc. I have an 06, i've heard Horsepower Tuners...is that the only one? I guess having a laptop would help quite a bit too huh..also main reason i want a tuner program, we have a cai on the car and the cel is on..also fiance' said low coolant came on, i drove the car home and it never did...the coolant wasn't low...really at all...maybe a quarter of an inch below the line...maybe...When's the fan supposed to come on on these cars ?. Sitting in the drive through at dairy queen it got up to freakin 223...then driving home got back down to 180...
can the tuning program over write the cel light etc... help help help
please no smart asses..that make or have over 50,000 in the bank and doing Sh$$ to their car is just a matter of ordering and having the stuff put on their car by someone else

hpt tuners makes a tunning solution for us 2.0 guys but if you dont know what your doing with it you can screw alot of **** up... were abouts in indiana do ya live? i might be able to help you
ok one question at a time... hptuners isnt the only game in town its just the best for the money, or even best all together. dont buy it just have someone tune it for you. unless your really into the tuning and want to learn alot of info.
the cai problem is common with cheap cai setups, it has to do with the maf being in the wrong place getting covered in oil from bad filter and or not metering all the air.\
low coolant light is another common thing. could be nothing could be a bad head gasket. search a little and youll have some good answers.
not sure when the fans come on since ive changed mine in hptuners to be on all the time. but 223 should not be a temp you are seeing.
post up on here in the tuners section for someone with hptuners in the area, there are plenty of people who will help you out and know alot about what they are doing.

223 in a drive thu isn't anything to worry about , as long as it cools back down once you start moving at speed. In traffic ive seen those type numbers along with alot of other people . If they worry you put you defroster on and turn on the AC it should kick on the fans . I have a 72 nova ss , what year nova do you have?
wow all good replies, no bullshi%#$ and inquiries to my screenname, i'm in southwest indiana cobaltstg2...near evansville, Rockport if you wanna get down to exact location, right on the border of Owensboro, KY, we work their...we meaning my fiance' who actually OWns..the cobalt ss/sc, i have the s10...well two, my 2001 zq8 daily driver and an 88 i'm putting the v8 into..and i have a 74 nova custom, hence the name..and actually i've considered having someone doing the tune..i know of ..2 people that know a lot about it i guess you could say...well the one(he knows alot of bullshit etc..) has a lq9 or ls based newer model chevy truck and the other guy actually has a cobalt ss/sc, black like ours and he blew the motor up on the local chassis dyno from what i've heard cuz it was running lean, but it's running again and i've seen it parked and seen him working so i'm probably gonna be going and talking to him soon, in fact after my fiance' got her car he gave us a ride in his, then we came out the next night in her new car and he was like, WHOAaa..it was kinda funny, anyways
temp went back down when driving the car. and actually it is a cheap intake...ebay purchase BUT AEm dry filter...i got that when autozone had all their air filters like 25% off, oh and the CEL will sometimes be on and sometimes not...kinda weird,

If you look at the intake it narrows down on the very end where the filter attaches . If you cut the narrowed piece off, the codes will go away . Search here for ebay intake , there was a how to on this .
