Tuning Stage 2?

Well the cold weather is starting to fade away a bit, and I'm going to be installing Stage 2 on the car before I start driving it again.

Now I have a 2.85 pulley sitting here too, now I know that some people say this isnt safe, but i'm wondering if I get the car custom tuned, and install a cobra h/e. Would that still be risking it abit?

I'm deffanately debating just keepin the Stage 2 pulley on..

(searched but couldnt find the exact info)

A tune with the stage 2 and a 2.85 pully? Some people have ran that on the stage 2 tune for awhile with no complaints. I wouldnt do it but with a tune, I wouldnt see it risky just as long as they know what theyre doing.

Deffanately tune it because of safety and my car ran like **** wthe Stage 2 and a 2.8 because the PCM pulled timing and DUMPED fuel.

I'd go with 60# injectors before going ANY size smaller than S2 pulley.

If you can get a tune why not do 60 and 2.8

Ya i'm not going to be able to get a full header back system for a few months, which is mainly another reason why im asking.. But I am trying to get my hands on a cobra h/e or I may just order the CX Racing one off ebay.

The tuner can help improve upon the GM Stage 2 tune. Right now with 91 Octane there is lots of knock retard happening, the tuner could tune for no knock on 91 Octane, plus he can clean up the a/f a bit, remove tq mgmt, etc..

Plus he can better tune the ECU for the 2.85" pulley

I am planning on going with him to tune my car as well formy upcoming 60lb and 2.8" combo...right now I am running the Stage 2 and I am getting tons of knock on the 91 Octane fuel

If you end up tuning it, and since you have a 2.85 sitting there, you will end up paying $500 (or whatever your deal on the stage 2 is), for a belt and injectors.

A complete waste of money.

Ya i'm going to be installing the 2.85. Since were getting tuned I feel a little safer, and i've actually been asking some lowmo members about JD, and i've been told he's the best in the Maritimes. So that gives me some piece of mind.
