tvs installation

I'm installing a tvs supercharger, just wondering if anyone else ran into problems with the bolts and how they ended up getting them on (special tools), especially for the 2 that are at the front. As well as the MAP sensor. I had to unsrew it to allow for the supercharger, did anyone modify it so that they could screw it back in?

You need to cut away part of the map sensor and rotate it out of the way. The TVS itself will hold it in place.

I don't have a picture of mine, but you should end up with something like this:

(thx rootbeer)

I used short head hex keys to tighten the front bolts on.

Amazon.com: Lisle 42850 Short Head Fractional Hex Key Set: Automotive Amazon.com: Lisle 42850 Short Head Fractional Hex Key Set: Automotive

edit: just in case you strip one and need to replace it, the bolts are M8 x 1.25 x 40mm

Just make sure the injector clips arent angled towards the mounting point on the blower. I dodnt remember if that was a problem on my 80's or not but my 98's rested against the blower and leaked, so I had to rotate the injector in the rail a bit.

i ended up changing the bolts for regular six-sided head bolts. has a 10mm socket sized head that is far easier than using an allen key or something. use that, plus a u-joint and an extension and you'll be fine

Injector Dynamics makes a 1000cc and 2000cc injector too... there are 160lb injectors that are "cheap" too

I also see the bpv is in a different spot. I am just assuming that I need to get a little bit of vacuum hose to plumb over to the new spot. Is that right?

Good catch! Yes I almost forgot about that. You do need to buy some hose to make it reach the new location. Can't think of anything else I missed.
