TVS Performance? what is its limits?

Hey guys, Im not really sure which route to go here. The TVS seems to be a mod that i can do real soon. But, Im not really sure what kind of power i can get out of a TVS? Part of me says " um I think i want to go twincharged" but, then i might want to just get a TVS. I would be very happy with anything over 350hp. My current set up:

2.6
meth
60s
CIA header and d/p
Intake
option B
Duel Pass
OTTP H/E
and josh at OTTP tuned me.

This month im looking to get a 3 inch exhaust dump and a bigger Throttle Body. I want the dump beacuse i love the way the car sounds now. I no that i will need a clutch soon so that is on my list too. So, what should my next step be? What kind of power do you think i can put down with a TVS? Who has the most power out of a TVS?

the tvs alone will pop your motor lets put it that way. if you want to get the full potenial out of it get a ported head with all the goodies to rev to like 7500rpms and some pistons.

which is why area47 has 347whp on stock internals, he just has valvesprings, with proper tuning they can make great power. that is his street tune btw, he doesnt release his race tune numbers :ninja:

why should i sit in the corner? the only point i was making is that the TVS has more potential than the stock motor has. Im not saying if you bolt on the tvs your motor will blow, im saying if you bolt it onto a stock motor and push it hard enough (meaning the tvs's smallest pulley) you have the potential to blow the motor.

go sit in the corner.

all i was saying is the tvs makes great power; so great that it has the POTENTIAL to pop the motor if pushed to its limits.

if you would have worded the post different this would have been avoided.

my motor is bone stock aside from valve springs. 65k miles. if tuned right it will be fine. most people can't manage to keep an lsj with a m62 alive. they are over looking little things here and there in terms of monitoring and preventive maintance. in short. don't beat the holy **** out of it. no motor can take that abuse

ok, i agree i could have worded it differently thats my bad. you also didnt have to jump down my throat either, you could have inquired before telling me to sit in the corner; thats your bad. I agree with everything you just said. not everyone on this site is an absolute blithering idiot

would the stock motor be able to handle the TVS running like a 2.5-2.6 pulley?... with the right cooling mods..?

depends on the driver and the tune.

Mine did fine

To run that pulley is pointless though without a ported head

The TVS would be a poor choice if you were aiming for 350WHP. There are dozens of people running them and they usually dyno around 300WHP. Sure it's very possible to do higher but it doesn't make sense to do a build that averages ~300 and shoot for 350. a turbo set would be the way to go for hitting that power.
