I would stick with a 2.9 probably. But I would consider some octane...these things love it

im on a 2.8 on my tvs and its not hurting anything. i have all the after market cooling mods on now besides meth, like a dual pass end plate, h/e etc. it will be better when i get tuned on e-85 though

You will most likely need either a return style, BRFPS, bigger injectors, or a combination of them to run the 2.8 on E85

I may be selling my stock head when I swap mine within a month. Or check with LSJion or Euthanasia and see if they have any finished ones for sale.

2.5" will hold you back a little bit, especially if you drop pulleys. A 3" is usually a little louder, so thats the only drawback there. I would just go 3" though.

Cut it off and weld a small 3" section on with a vband or even 3" to a regular flange

Well what I would do is cut off the 2.5" part and weld on a 3" section then weld the vband adapter to that and then cut off the flange on the catback and weld the other side of the vband to there, OR you can just cut off the 2.5 section and weld the 3" section on with a normal flange, I just prefer vband lol. I can only search so much since im in class but it should be easy to find a 3" section.
