sheek got beat on by a lot more than 6 cars this time. Sheek also doesn't run 7's. I don't know what BS he feeds you. But he's pretty up front and straight with me. Everything he's told me hasn't sounded unreasonable at all.

If he had told me that he runs 7s in the 1/8th, I would have hung up on him. I know better than that.

Sheek tuned my car, so I have lots of respect for him. He knows his ****. Also, the guy with the TVS has his own hptuners, so sheek didn't have to use his.

call it stupid if you want, but I believe him, with as disappointed as he was with the before numbers, he was pretty straight up this time. He said he personally doesn't want the tvs, he doesn't like that it's too quiet.

But these are pretty good numbers, and I believe them. I could care less if you do or not. But this thread could be a deciding factor for lots of people. I kind of felt like I ruined a lot of people choices from the previous thread, so I needed to post the new findings.

I'm working on getting a copy of the dyno sheet. But that's about as much proof as you are gonna get.

u can still hear it..its not silent..just not as loud as the m62..drop pulleys and over spin it and it will scream

I don't see the TVS making 500. Or 450 for that matter. I think if you can get north of 400 that's it with that blower. In fact I would be real impressed to see it make 400, like dayum! I'm going turbo though, much more efficient to get those numbers. Now that Hahn is about to release a turbo kit for the LSJ I think we'll see alot more turboed balts.

 

u dont see it?! lol...how many tuners have u built? he made 374 on a mild head and pistons...on the stock intake manifold...this makes just as much as the hahn kit..WHO GIVES A **** ABOUT A TURBO

the guys who want to do rediculous stuff with their cobalt. I'll probably just go tvs without a doubt, but you have to remember, this is my everyday street car. I don't need 400+. I'll be happy with the 300-350.

ehh, everyone knows more power can be made with turbocharging. The supercharger just takes too much power to make power.

But I'm not the one saying records won't be set with the tvs. I'm sure we'll have some damn fast 'balts that are tvs. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 10sec one.

Ported head, 1mm oversize valves, and revving to 8K rpms. Yea, I could see it.

what!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!!?!? I'll do 12's still on the stock pulley, on stock m62. You better do better than that!

 

a ported head can only do so much, revving to 8k on stock cams is dumb.
