Looks cool! I'm interested in results of both the twincharge and the single turbo conversion. Since my car is on a smart buy, that's probably to radical for me. Can't wait to hear more!

If he is on a SmartBuy, isn't the intent of that to buy it at the end. Well techinically it is to refinance it at the end.

LOL. Intense is great at what they do and Hahn is great at what they do. It will definitely be all about what you want and not the company in this case. Happy choosing....

"Removing the supercharger altogether simplifies the engine compartment, removes weight, and enables turbocharged power figures that aren’t limited by the supercharger’s maximum airflow."

WHAT THE **** IS THAT ****.
Thats not a ******* twin charge setup at all, it says its replacing the supercharger altogether.
Its just going full out turbo. Sure thats awsome if it makes the car faster but by how much?
is $3200 worth 1 second of a 1/4. WTF! I dont even care about the cost tho they said TWINCHARGE "TWIN" = PLURAL = 2! so WHY THE **** did they kill the super just to add the turbo!!!?? And i cannot ****** believe this **** "Removing the supercharger altogether simplifies the engine compartment, removes weight" THE SUPERCHARGER IS WHAT ******* 10 pounds!!!?? so much for twincharge. not even any stats as to what gains it puts out. i could be wrong on something here but im just goin by what i see and what i read. And the facts are quite ******* simple. They disable your supercharger and then add their turbo. That is not a Twincharger. Please toss me your input as this really doesn't make sense to what is supposed to be a "Twincharger" ""A twincharger is the denomination by the Volkswagen Group of a combination of a turbocharger and a supercharger in an engine."" End Quote. Inpute appreciated. lates.

Bro that is another option along with twincharging. You can either twincharge or you can replace the supercharger with that intake manifold and just turbocharge. You can do one or the other. Just a misunderstanding. We talked about that earlier in thread if you want to go take a look. I love it, we have 2 options.

i think it ruins the SS. kind of like putting a ford motor in a chevrolet. it was meant to have a supercharger. adding a turbo is cool. i dont think the gains will be worth it. but people have a long way to go before considering the twincharge system. because those internals are a must.

I have the stock clutch\flywheel if you really want to switch back. Make me an offer if you want.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks! At this point though, even if I sold the clutch and flywheel (which, being used won't be worth half the original value), I don't know if it's worth the labor of changing it out. But again, thanks. I may take you up on that in the future.

It's doing well but I am waiting for a couple of parts before the engine can finish being reassembled. It looks like it will now be shipped back to me closer to the end of August and once it is reinstalled I then wait for Mev from JBP to fly out for tuning, last week in September. In between I am sending the car in to get a chrome moly cage put in as well as have the body kit fitted. Once the car is tuned it goes in for a custom paint job beginning of October.
The wait is driving me crazy and my wife says "it's a good thing thats a short drive, because she wants her car back"

No problem, it's just sitting there waiting for a new home.

with the twin charge setup, is it possible to go stage 5 intense and then twincharge (add the turbo on?)

cause then youd be with a base of 275 hp from the intense stage 5 and adding a turbo ontop of that... *grins evilly* least that is if they do work together.

Not sure if it works that way. The only twincharged Ion i saw had a 3.8, yes 3.8" pulley on the eaton. Not sure why exactly.

Inheriently the twincharged system is held back by the supercharged. If your looking to make BIG power the turbo system would be the way to go.

As p7x stated, the twincharged redline has 3.8" pulley on it. If you plan on running smaller than a 3.8" with a turbo, you will need to get complete built internals, head gasket and ARP bolts or else you can kiss that block goodbye!

The twincharged redline made 330whp with tuning and just a head gasket and bolts so if you want bigger power than 330...you better plan on dropping a TON of dough.

Dude... i think you are going to break 350 WHP with that set up, if not more like 400!
$50 says that you are the first to break 400 WHP on this forum.

Ah ok thanks I was pissed at first thought it would just be all out turbo. Thats awsome we can keep the super and use the turbo. Couple questions tho, how hard/long would it be to install the turbo and can you do it yourself with proper instructions, also someone was mentioning that having both would be worse??? He said that going all out turbo would result in the best power/speed is that correct.
