Typical Stage 2 IAT2?
What are the typical IAT2s on Stage 2 or any for that matter.
I seem to be getting really high IAT2s really fast and will see as high as 180 after I've been driving hard... Need some help plz.
Gm is telling me the pump is ok but I disagree.

180 is high you need cooling mods now. meth, extra heat exchanger, dual bypass, all of it.
i got as high as 180 before as well. Then i saw my reservoir for my IC was low. Check the other coolant neck behind the fans in front of the SC and see if there is coolant flowing/up to the neck. It should drop it to 160s under hard hard driving.
heat exchanger will drop it to 130-140 under hard driving.

dont just top it off... bleed it off.
start the engine, fill......shut off....wait for bubbles to come up
repeat
1. Open the resivior cap
2. Turn the pump on by either starting the car or jumping the terminals on the relay.
3. Insert a screwdriver or dow rod of some sort until it touches the bottom of the resivoir.
If the pump is running you will feel the rod be sucked to the right from the fluid flow.
The pump is located on the bottom front of the engine. Its a small electric pump with a plastic housing and 2, 1/2" coolant hoses coming off it and a small wiring harness. very easy to replace. you will get coolant everywhere, but its easy.

Tried the hammer and AC trick. Neither worked.
I revved the car once very quickly to 3k rpm and it jumped to 131 IAT2...
I'm going to talk to the dealer again tomorrow because this should be covered under the warranty!

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...134882&page=10 here is an example with i IAT2's, granted there was a boost issue at the time but thats a 2.8 pulley with stock H/E
Are you losing any boost? Cause i know for sure my pump is running and it ran 15-16 pounds for like 2 weeks and then would hit 15-16 and bleed off to twelve as you can see there, so all i did was bypass the bypass valve and BAM at 16-17 pounds but the MPG wont get any higher then 26.5 and the car is no running issues....So any conclusion lol?
No, not losing any boost it's just really freaking HOT! I'm running the GM Stage 3 pulley and it consistently hits 16.4 PSI. Well that's in top gear, I haven't payed attention in lower gears. So I may be losing boost.
I called up the service rep and told him that I was sure the pump was out after checking it. I have an appointment tuesday morning and i'm hoping they just replace and not jerk me around...
