Unplugging a Sensor that Turns on the Fans?
I read a thread a while back where someone had accidently unplugged a sensor that turned the fans on. I am going to take a stab at it being one that dealt with the engine coolant temperature. Could someone tell me where this sensor is. I am going to try and change my oil after work and I don't want to burn my hands on a hot motor. Thank you for your help.
I can unplug it and leave my motor off when I get home. Then it could cool off before the sun went down so I could change my motor. I don't get off of work till after 5 and the sun goes down about 7 right now.
I get what hes saying, soo the ECM cant read the temp soo it keeps the fans constantly on,
its eiser too change the oil when its hott

I understand that it is easier to do it when the motor is hot. I just don't enjoy resting my hands on the supercharger and block when the motor is 180 degrees. If I could get it down to 130-150, I would be thrilled.
