I really cannot wait to see this, 1.4L twin screw. I'm looking at doing the le5 bottom end l61 top end swap this summer and may have the money for a blower upgrade by fall, so this is pretty damn exciting. It the time comes I may need some measurements from someone with this blower, to make sure it will clear the hood and power steering pump and upper rad support in the cavy.

that looks like a cheap machined box that will fit the snout to make it look like a blower.

Max Air Flow: 710 Cubic feet / min
Max RPM (cont) 15,000
Dimensions: Length: 380mm; Width: 185mm; Height: 128mm
Drive extensions: 100mm, 150mm, 200mm
Suited for: 500 HP / 375 kW Engines

TVS
Displacement: 1.32 Litres
Max Air Flow: 810 Cubic feet / min
Max RPM (cont) 20,000

I can't find a compressor map for the sprintex anywhere. once i see one it, it will give me a better idea what to expect. What i can tell you about the tvs is a few simple things.

On a 2.9" with a 7200 rl
698cfm
70.13 hp used to turn
Average power 300~310 pump 325~335 e85

A few notes on the twinscrew.

If the above info is correct then the smallest pulley you want to safely run is a 3.0 with a 7200 rl (assuming 15k s/c rpms).

Taking the same 3.0 pulley you are going to run ~21 psi or so.

Bump the rl or drop the pulley you risk the blower seizing becuase of the tight tolerances with the male/female rotors.

lol, but you also have a blown V8 with tons of torque running slicks, so you're going faster from the get go, hence not picking up as much.

either way, Bryan's times are impressive, as is your Camaro.

great info lsjwannabe but you do have to add less parasitic drag on the motor and much cooler temp in the intake

i would have to disagree with you... there are a lot of other factors that come into play... ive seen people trap super high and then get better times and their trap is considerably lower.... here is an example.... these are two local guys.... check out the diff in the cobras trap speeds on his first and last runs.... over a 10 mph diff.... and his last run was his fastest run w/ lowest trap speed.....

Common knowledge, i thought it was already covered earlier so i didn't want to repost it lol.

I would be interested to see that comp data but i dont know if it will surface. I doubt they tested hp draw, if they did though awesome. I would be interested in seeing what it takes to turn it.

i would like to see some numbers, of course, but mostly i would like to see a direct comparison between the 1.46 and the tvs, to see if this really is an upgrade even for the tvs guys i don't doubt that it could potentially make more power, but an apples to apples comparison is the only way i'd consider ANOTHER blower swap

I emailed sprintex to try and get some compressor maps but have not received a reply. I highly doubt I'll get one though, at least until after SEMA. There seems to be a total lack of that kind of information on the internet for these units.

If/when they post one I'll be happy to photoshop an overlay over the M62/TVS.

His trap is falling off every run due to him missing 4th gear or hitting the rev limiter in 3rd. Count his shifts and listen to the car at the end.

Hopefully devilsown can get us that info as soon as its available. If this S/C is truly better than the TVS, it might be a real possibility for me maybe a year or two from now. Heck, my car won't be paid off till 2012 anyway and I plan to keep it around for a while after.
