Hey guys, as some of you are aware (from my complaining) my transmission broke in my LSJ, so I ordered a used one from a wrecking yard, my question is what should I look for in the new trans to make sure it's not damaged? Any advice is welcome, thanks again

hey man, you live in tri cities? im in vancouver. And just make sure the bellhousing isnt cracked anywhere. SO were the bolts go threw, etc, cause the trannys are very weak, so when our cars gets in crashes, some brake, like mine! Also try going threw all the gears manually, other than that, it should be goldn. Make sure you put it in pretty quick, so then if its broken you can bring it back to the wrecking yard, and they cant say much!

 

check for leaks also. slow leaks are the worst to have. i went threw the same thing and got a lsd from jeff on this site (great guy)

Thanks guys will do, slow leaks would have to be tested after install, right?
