So for about a month now, my reverse lights only turn on when they want to which is not very often, and last night while i was driving, the power steering message popped up on the display... i got home, turned the car off and back on and the power steering was back... anybody have anything similar happen? if so, how did you fix it or what was the problem?

 

You probably need to replace the reverse switch on the transmission. Seems to be a common issue. Also there is a power steering recall on our cars. Is yours done?

 

I already took it in for the recall on the power steering I gotta see if it's still covered and where is that sensor located in the transmission?

Put it in 4th and you can kinda see it. There's a how to on here on how to change it.

 

so you can see it from inside of the shifter area? gotta look for it... but my power steering thing is still an issue... what will happen is the power steering message pops up on the display but when i turn the car off and on, it will go back to normal...

 

Down in the engine bay yeah. If you had the recall done, take it back.

Yea I already found the how to for the reverse lights and apparently my car doesn't qualify for the recall gotta wait till Monday to call Chevy directly...
