double check the bolts on the header, as u need to tighten again after the install

check the bolts on the downpipe header area

i have the vibrant header/dp and the vibrant 3in catback

had a leak at the header, and i had a few blown gaskets from the 3 bolt flange area where the dp meets the header haha

its a bitch tightening that top bolt haha

My vibrant header/dp has a leak at the top bolt too because I couldn't get it torqued down. If anyone knows of a good way to torque it down please speak up.

some type of baby tools, i had a shop do it after it loosened up and blew the gasket

but i gave them a nut and bolt that wasnt like the one that was on there so it lasted for a lil bit

but i tighten it up about a month or less ago and just used a crescent wrench & a open end wrench

but some smaller tools would be easier, as the work area sucks haha

I cut an old wrench in half and then heated it and bent it to make it easier. It's still a pain to get it tight though..

Alright..update time..so i got the bolt on the top where the dp/header bolt together pretty tight...but it still has a sight leak. i was wondering if it matters which way you put the dp on the header? Hard to explain but does the 3 holes where the bolts go have to match up to the header in a certain way? Sorry for the poor wording.

u will know if u put the downpipe on the wrong way, the catback wouldnt bolt up

where do u hear the leak? if its at idle it could just be the injectors ticking(normal)

or do u hear it when u on the gas?

if u want to, try a thicker gasket on the dp/header

autozone has a pack of 2 for like 8 buckets, 2.5inch collector gaskets

I bought one of the gaskets from autozone mentioned above and paid $20 for a shop to tighten everything up. I had problems with bolts coming unscrewed no matter how tight I put them on. Shop double nutted it...lol

Make sure your O2 sensor is tightened. I've left them loose by accident a few times. Other than that, idk man. Sounds like you've been through everything. I was having the same problem, but since I've put a couple thousand miles on it, the leak has subsided a good 50%.

i have the header/dp and catback and stock muffler right now haha cops didnt like it

so yea i have the stock muffler on and i sounds like its leaking, but i know i have a slightly blown gasket haha

i just tighten it back up as the other two bolts were fine, when i get some thing to help with that P0141 code, something about highflow cat and o2 sensor not getting enough airflow

must likely is leaking from the header and dp connection, so when u take it to the shop have the check the header too, to listen for air coming thru
