Vibrant header/dp vs ZZP header/DP?

I am looking to buy a header and DP before the end of this month and I cant decide between these 2. Before you jump in and say get the ZZP because it is cheaper I will tell you that if I go with ZZP I will order it with the ceramic coating/catted stainless DP/ and 02 bung and that brings the price to about the same as the vibrant.

What I want to know is does anyone have and info as to which flows better or is going to yeild more gains? I like zzp because I have delt with them before when I had my GTP. I like the vibrant header because the quality looks amazing and I have heard nothing but good things about it.

What are the deminsions of the vibrant DP? Is it a 2.5" or 3" DP. Also, is a 3" DP too large for my application?

Current mods are, GMPP stage 2, GMPP performance cat-back, 2.9 Pulley, NGK BKR7E plugs, and air box mod.

I searched alot and got quite a bit of info but some of it was dated. Most of the posts I read were made before ZZP had a midlength header/dp.

Thanks for the vids! I see that you are not a SS/SC but did you feel a difference in power after the install?

Dude seriously, can't go wrong with the Vibrant... best flow, best bang for the buck (seriously, header/dp/hi flow cat all in one??) Not that the ZZP sucks or anything, just that the Vibrant is better

F ZZP i bought my downpipe with a cat 2 months ago and my car threw the cat cog and found out my cat was clogged i swaped downpipe and my car was running fine and i emailed them and told them . They responded to me first by saying i need to get hpt and then i told them what happend with the cat they basically said f me and stop responding to my email they still didnt even email me back.

There products are ok but with customer service like that vibrant.

i felt a big difference and i have similar power mods, onl thing different is i have an actual intake. it really woke the car up, it now feels like i'm finally able to take advantage of my other mods. sounds amazing too, i was very nervous because most cobalts with full exhaust sound like absolute ****. but the zzp is a great piece, i would recommend it.

don't have any experience with the vibrant, but also looks to be very good.

Thanks alot for the quick responses guys! I put the poll in just to see what others like but it will in no way make up my mind for me. You guys are telling me the things I want to hear tho! Does anyone happen to know the dimensions of the vibrant DP?

Go Vibrant!!! I have it and I wouldn't even think about a different one. Great sound, nice gains, and I ended up getting a good price on it too.

I have not been to happy with my ZZP H/DP. Sounds very rice, made me lose almost all of the deep sound to my car and is almost comparable to a civic sound. Also a lot of the sound comes up into the car so its always very loud even at 2k RPM

Yea I met you both at the streets! Remember I was pissed because I left my car at home that night lol. I liked the way yours sounded but I know my cat-back sounds much different than yours. Although yours does sound sexy

especially if you get a new dp with a cat...you want to break in the cat before you really go WOT.... other wise youll lose the tone in the exhaust...... also as far as a true exhaust goes... you want to break in the seals and the gaskets...

For those of you running the vibrant setup, is the DP 2.5" or 3"? It should bolt right up to my GMPP cat-back correct?

When I had my GTP, ZZP bent over backwards to help me out with some tuning issues I was having. My experiences with them have been wonderful. I dont think you should worry, Zoomer is a pretty cool guy. (Zoomer = owner of ZZP )

2 things first.. he means break in the exhaust... you're not supposed to get on it for like 500 miles after you install it or that'll happen...

second... check for a leak because if you're hearing it alot in the cabin thats not normal ]

one of my friends got the vibrant combo.. it sounds good down low... but once he got on it it sounded like a chain saw.. IMO thats a bad sound .. they're both very much so quality pieces ( coming from seeing the craftmanship on my friends vibrant and the zzp combo i own) however i'd have to say ZZP shearly because of the multitude of options...

they both have great craftmanship though... the other thing is though if you're looking for a pretty show piece the vibrant might be better, I haven't seen the zzp header after ceramic coating so i don't know what that looks like, but i do know the vibrant piece is nice and shiny lol.. my vote is still ZZP though if you want pics of the zzp before installation up close PM me and i can send them to you
