Vibrant help. Please..
For people with the Vibrant header/Dp how did you get it on?I tried last weekend for a little bit and had trouble.Did you take off the heater hose on the left? How many studs did you have in the head?Any info you can give me to help out?
I know there is 10 studs.I want to know if people had to take some out of the block and whatnot to get the header to fit. Also the top two center holes on the header dont have enough room between the nut and the primary to fit a socket what did you guys use?
i didn't have that problem, just undid the hose to get it out of the way, pulled of the stocker and the heat shield, and slapped the new one on and bolted it up. You gotta use a 1/4 ratchet with a few different length sockets or extensions though. Much easier to get it fit.
the real bitch is the collector to dp bolts. those are a bitch to get a wrench on.

So it slides on perfect with all the studs in when you undo the hose? Did you have the problem about the socket not fitting on the nuts on the center top?As far as the hose I didn't notice and wont be able to check it out till this weekend but how does it come off? Is it just clamped?
unbolt the bracket, undo the clamp and push that outta the way. Yeah it slids right on over the studs, all studs, and I didn't have any problems on the center ones. The hardest are the three furthest on the drivers side. They are a bitch to get a wrench on. And unless you have tiny hands you can barely get your hands on them.
remove the studs. if you cant slip the header past the "hose" the studs unscrew from the manafold. if some come out when removing the factory header its normal. just remove the ones on the drivers side to ge the header in. does your vibrant header have the external exhaust lupe? is that why you cant get it on?
Yeah, I tried that last weekend but you have to screw the studs straight in and with the header on my hands weren't small enough to get them all in.I will just undo the hose tomorrow, scew in all the studs, slide the header on and tighten all the nuts..

Well I already have everything off and first thing tomorrow I'm goint to retry.I guess I'm going to take the hose loose and push it out of the way then screw in the 7 studs that came off back in(loc-tight aswell)..put on the gasket then the header and tighten the nuts down. Then install the hose and D/P. Like I mentioned before I got it bolted up last weekend half way but couldn't get my hands in good enough to get 3 or 4 studs. While it was up I tested the D/P and didn't have a problem with the nuts.
I'm not sure I would loc-tite your studs into your block, but good luck with the install man, your gonna love it when your done, do you have a wb bung installed in it already? If not you might want to get one in the dp before you bolt it in, save you from having to take it off, if/when you get a wideband.
