Warning To All Cai Users!!!
If your running an AEM filter without a hydro shield your asking for trouble . Since it's a dry non-oiled filter it will not resist water at all , instead it will suck it up like a sponge. If you are still getting water in with a hydro shield there are other issues going on . I can put my hand inside my injen HS and run water from the tap onto it , my hand stays dry and the water flows right off .
I'm running the airbox mod with an AEM dryflow.. driven through rainstorms for 120+ miles, snowstorms, slush, you name it.. not a single problem. I've had the airbox mod since summer of 07 (July) btw.
I did notice a gap between my headlight, and my bumper. Dealer said that water/snow/sand was getting in through there. All I know is it turned my K&N black with crud. Running the facory air box now unmodded, with a K&N drop in filter. Seems to have just as much power as before, and no cel anymore. I think I will stick with this setup until someone makes a reliable intake for the ss/sc.
