Way to tell which GMPP exhaust I have?

I was just wondering if there is a way I can tell if I have the GM sport exhaust or GM touring exhaust. The reason I ask is because my friend Ben and I both have SS/SC's with the same mods and his seems to be quite a bit louder. I ordered the GM sport exhaust but I think I may have got the toruing. I ordered from my work, and most the people at my work are complete idiots. So is there a way I can tell which exhaust I have just by looking? I dont have any of the original packaging. Also, I paid the price for the sport exhaust not touring.

If you have the touring, the resonator will be the same as the muffler inside. I would think, just a guess though, that if you hit it with somethign metal, the sound would be the same, where as the Sport resonator is hollow and the muffler is packed, so they should sound different. Never tried this myself, but it might be a simple way to check.

I also doubt they would have sold you the much more expensive Touring exhaust for the Sport pricing, but I guess its possible.

Thanks for the suggestion! Also, my dealership got the exhaust from another dealer that had quite a few in stock. I was thinking they maybe grabed the wrong box or something.

I know the sport is louder, and I know I ordered the sport, but my car just doesnt sound like my friends with the sport. I dunno, thanks for the help guys, I am not dissapointed or anything I just wanted to know if I got the wrong exhaust

I would just say that they sent you the wrong exhaust and get refunded the difference lol. I don't think there is really a way to tell besides the sound.

Thanks for the advice guys! I am not worried about which one I got, I am just curious to see if my work messed up or not. Heck if I did get the touring on accident I cheated them out of like 130$ lol.

Thats true! I don't know why the touring is more expensive.

I put my exhuast on a full month before him, and I also have about 800 more miles (on the exhaust) than he does. The only thing I can think of is that he down shifts alot when he stops and I rarely do (If I do, I rev match) Would that make the difference?

I drove my car threw the parking lot at my work earlier today and had a co-worker listen. His response was "Bens car sounds deeper, but your supercharger is louder". I dont know what the hell is going on lol. I just want to know which exhaust I have. Ben is the friend I was talking about in my previous posts with the other SS/SC just like mine.

The Touring cat-back uses much larger resonator and muffler than the sport. I have seen the two side by side fully assembled.

As for cat problems mine had some issues at 9,000 miles.
