Hey guys can anyone tell me what a lsj block would weigh completely gutted. Just the block and oilpan nothing else inside of it? Trying to get estimates and if there is anyway to ship this via ups.

 

My LSJ block only, no oil pan or other parts, weighed 62 pounds, ready to ship, inside three thick cardboard boxes with some rolled up cardboard in between the boxes. I was surprised it was that light. I did not weigh it before boxing.

 

hmm odd, Cuz with only the block and oilpan it weighed 110 pounds for me.

My bare block W/lower girdle was around 80lbs

 

Around 80lbs is about correct for a block and girdle, that is excluding the crank.

 

How is everyone shipping these things out. I got the block, girdle and the oilpan thats going out and not sure if I want to try to stuff all that into a double sided box and fill it with peanuts and ship it that way or do all that and put it on a pallet and take it to a local freight company not really sure which one would be cheaper.

 

91lbs is correct
