i just raced an old friend from high school in a cobalt ss. he said it was a 2007. he only has a cat back. the weird thing is that he said stock it boosts at 14 psi.he has the factory pulley on it and i saw it. i also push 14 psi. the thing is mine sounds alot louder than his (cant even here his). i pull lengths on it but i find that weird. oh yea mine is a stage 2 set up.

maybe he has the tvs charger?????i dunno could be he has stock air box and you have an intake?

 

his gauge is off or his cat is clogged, or he may have done the boost bypass mod.

and if yours is stage 2, then you should be pushing 15psi...

 

not the tvs. its the same one as mine for sure. he showed me his motor and all. and i beat him by at least 2-3 cars by 115ish.

only in cold weather maybe i hit like 14.5-8 ish psi

 

what is the stock boost psi?

 

should be 12 or 12.5 psi
