Weird grinding coming from engine

Well does that mean that the tensioner wasn't bad? and i went to the local chevy dealer in town and bought the new model.

Well, I'm going to assume it wasn't. I can't tell for sure though.
Since you have the old one out, I would still put the new one in, because the old models are prone to failing.

solved the problem yet? i have the same noise. pretty sure its the supercharger bearings. with the car cold, start it and listen real close to the supercharger. and see if it sounds like its coming from there

i have to wait till i get home to listen to that video, im having a grinding noise on startup but mine is coming from the belt tentioner, like the cylinder is loose or something
