Weird noises upfront

Well i let my friend drive my car around the parking lot last night after he told me he heard some unusual noises and sure enough there was some.

When starting in first and releasing the clutch etc. There would be some very unusual knocking noises that would dissapear after your into first all the way just rolling along. My first thought was its the tune or the engine, but when he pulled it back around i popped it into nuetral and rev'd it up to 2-3 grand and let off. The engine sounded fine. So now i'm lost as to what the problem could be. Any ideas?

Mine clicks when I have the windows down, after I first start moving in first. My last car did this as well (standard transmission as well)
I think it has something to do with the clutch engaging, or maybe a sensor in the transmission. Sounds like since it didnt do it when you revved in neutral, its not in the engine, so that is good...

Hey mattman, how did you find out how many silver RL's were produced? I'd like to see how many of my trim were made too

yeah, this is a pretty common thing. There was a post on here about the noise coming from the control arm bushings - can't remember who made the post or when the post was made though.

Mine makes a click everytime I go from a stop, shift into second, or downshift. I can only hear it with the windows open and it annoys the **** out of me!
