Kinda like a meow, but with more of a garbled tone, I don't know really how to spell it, but it's pretty sad, you swear they are choking on a hairball or something.

so then this hiss sound i'm getting isnt a clogged cat? and i know its no tthe blower, when i hear it if i put my head near my cd player sounds like i'm centered on it,and sounds like its coming from the engine bay, which to me indicates the cat... but i'm not sure. my idels is kinda sputtery but not real bad.

When my cat was clogged on my dodge ram. You can tell. My truck sounded like a vacume. There was crap for power and acceleration.

Check to see if you're overboosting. That's one way to tell.

What's your vacum read at idle? This most definitely sounds like a clogged cat.

Funny thing is that he didn't get it, and I think he took me seriously. Look at his reply!

You could have a Exhaust leak, but that's more of a sputtery noise. IF you ARE overboosting like you say you are, it's probably clogged, because all of the back pressure is built up. I'd get it checked, a clogged cat can be serious.

If you have an inclination that it is clogged and you are boosting 15psi on a stock setup, your cat is most likely clogged.

at what temp were u making 15psi? if its like 10degrees outside my stock 07's gauge at the top of 3rd will claim 15psi, but now that its 40-45 degrees outside itll only hit the 12-12.5 like its supposed to. o yeah i do have a cai w/ stock exhaust too. I do have a sputter aswell at idle, almost like a subaru. i see 18-22 inches of vaccum at idle and in gear letting off throttle will see 25-27 inches.
