i wud use a nitrous kit..........for purge. other than that, more than likely no, unless i wanted a quick lil pick me up. i really don't see the effects of nitrous being good to your engine. Cryo-2 on the other hand, works very nicely from the dyno sheets i've seen, and track slips with the before and afters.

Nitrous is pretty nice, its an easy way to add a pretty good amount of power when needed. I like it :

i types it in google bc i haven't really needed to look anything up on it, but here it is http://www.speedunleashed.com/shop/c...me.php?cat=728 basically its the same setup as nitrous except its o2 and less harmful from what i've heard. like i said, really dunno much about it other than that. u can spray it in intercoolers, and i believe a wet jet tap. idk i seen it in super street a few times. the one time it gave +5mph and -.5 of a second in the 1/4mile. which is pretty insane.

Nitrous is like any other power adder. Use it if you like, don't if you don't like. The guys that don't like it are usually the ones that cant afford to keep refilling their bottles..LOL

No one around here has less than 2 big bottles in their trunk and a couple spares filled at home for a weekend nights.

Cheating? Then ANYTHING other than "stock" is cheating. Its just personal preference..

The single turbo guys complain that twin turbos is cheating...

All is fair in racing and hp....If you cant afford a power adder then move over and let the big boys play.

Cheating...

Sounds like to me you need to stay away from it with your limited experience.

Oh lemme guess...you watched Fast and Furious when you were 12 years old and the phrase "NOS" stuck in your head?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I choose not to use it. Not because of money issues, actually that would be one of the problems with it. You have to pay to keep re-filling it. I want power that will be there all the time, not something that needs to be filled up, and has the possibility of running out when you least expect it.

Oh yeah, as far as the single turbo guys wishing they had twin turbos, that's not always true. Actually, a good lot of the time, it's better to have one large turbo then two smaller ones. Just like twin-charging is a joke also, you only need one good power adder.

just a lil more info CryO2 is CO2, carbon dioxied. It does not inject into your engine it wont make power that way. What it does is there is a courtzite bulb that mounts in your intake, CO2 enters one side of it and exits the other side of it. As it passes through the courtzite bulb it super cools the air passing over, lowering you air intake temperature, making more power. colder air makes more power. thats how cryo2 works. It can also be used to purge on to an intercooler to cool it off faster then just regular air passing over the intercooler

you will get more power from nitrous, nitrous also super cools the air. its just a lot more risky then using cry02. actually i dont see any risk with cry02 since it does not inject into the engine

Whats the price on refilling the cryo2 tanks? It could get very expensive refilling those as well.

I know a guy that ran his A/C hose into his intake and ran the A/C on all the time. It blew 38 degree air into the intake (averaging 50 degrees colder than ambient). The power lost having the a/c on was negated by a much bigger hp increase with the colder air.

Thought he was nuts, but his back to back 1/4 mile runs with it on and off were greatly seen with a 4 mph difference.

well you can get C02 filled up just about anywhere. I believe my 12oz tank for my paintball gun was 8 bucks to fill it up, so if you have a 10 lb bottle, probably pretty expensive. nitrous is $30 to fill a 10 lb bottle.

Depending on how you have your nitrous set up to run you can get 7 to 12 passes on a strip from a 10 lb bottle
