I'd do what these people tell you asap, or you'll also be adding new pistons and rods to your shopping list soon. Take that 2.7 off tomorrow and put the stock S2 pulley back on until you get some cooling mods, bigger injectors, and a tune.

On the other hand, its somewhat nice for a change.

Get the 2.9 with that setup you will probably make more power with the 2.9

Wonder what the PW's are at with such a setup. Get a 3" with that setup and be safe.

Nah...I ran a 2.7 a couple of times and the acceleration is wicked but you max out when you get above 6k...I was running a 2.8 before then which wasn't as much fun...then I went back to stage 2 and now I have 2.9. I can tell you the 2.7 would feel great with 60's no doubt...with 42s it's kind of sketchy up top. You may have more consistent power with a 2.9 and 42s but the 2.7 is more fun for a daily driver even if it's hilariously dangerous for your engine.

Still, there are guys who have run below 2.9 for thousands of miles without any current problems. It is playing with fire, however.

Nitrous on a 2.7 with 42's and a stage tune for over a year? Are you trolling?

Drop down to a 2.9 or a 2.85 at the smallest!

The GM tune isn't a good tune in itself let alone for the added heat and boost of the 2.7.

If you can't get tuned then take off that pulley before you pop your motor! Those injectors are maxxed out at a 2.8 pulley with Meth!

Right, but without the tune and 60's he is probably heat soakin bad, and he would make higher power for his setup with the 2.9. There was a guy on here that switched from a 2.8 to a 2.9 and made 10 or so more wheel horse power on the dyno with the 2.9 compared to the 2.8

That is true because of the HEAT that each of these pullys make!

You can't run 60's without a tune.... so he needs a TUNE first and foremost!
