It will not "Hurt"

Avoid Iridium Plugs. Stick to regular NGK

those plugs should be fine , check them after a week or so, and see how they look, the tips should look almost like a light chocolate color, black would be bad.

Those are not the copper plugs, which you may want to consider, im actually running the same plugs as you with a 3", for almost a month, doing fine....but i dont think you need to go two steps colder for a 2.9, 1 step should be fine

Two Trains of thought on Forced Induction and Iridium..

Iridium uses a very small annode that can withstand silly heat
Regular Spark plugs cant take unreal heat but because they are larger, they can disipate it fast.

The basic problem is that in some cases, the iridium plug gets so hot that it can actually be the cause of detonation.

The whole point of running colder plugs is to reduce the risk of detonation as you increase the boost...

If GM has Plug "X" for Stock Boost. Then if you go up a bit, then one step is required.

If you plan to Silly overboost, then you go Silly ranges colder.

Stock Boost ... Stock Plugs

You don't need to go colder if the Boost han't changed.

pulleys smaller than stock to 3.0 = 1 step colder
pulleys smaller than 3.0 = 2 steps colder.

The Colder plugs are ment to be used a steps as the boost level increases. If you go too far, you might find on cold days that the car will not run well until it's warm.

Pete's Post is acceptable.
