what tool

i was wondering to all you who have changed the gm stage 2 pulley .... what kind of tool did you use to get the four blue screws out.... was it a normal phillps or something special.. please someone help me... and if it is a special tool can i get it at my local dealer

it was a special tool, the stage 2 comes with 2 of them. If you didnt get them then i recommend telling the dealer to give them to you. they were yours and you paid for it. if they pull the "we dont have it" card, then call gm customer service.

yeah dont be an idiot and try to take those puppies out with a philips head like me

worked for all but one bolt..... now i have a stripped bolt and no way to get it out. (sigh)

so they got to have the tool then .... so i should just call them and get it ... it is techinally mine since i paid for the stage to be complete ...hmmm wondering what they will say when i call them tomorrow

we'll see..... pretty convenient that GM used ALUMINUM BOLTS

chevypowered and i cranked on that over-torqued bolt for hours.

I installed mine, and swapped the 2.8 PB pulley out easily. GM must have torqued the hell out of your guys' ****!

I don't know how the stage kits come packaged, but if it's all in one box and the bit drivers were not it in, you can't exactly blame the dealer for it.

However, the tool is very cheap and easy to get. It's a called a Torx bit, and you can buy it at any hardware store. It don't know which size it is, but if you buy a set of bits I'm sure you'll get the right one in there.

it is included in the package.

when i helped bill remove his it seemed like the dealer over tq'd his to atleast 80 something pd ft tq!
