Eh, I dynoed before and after my air box mod to Injen intake, as well as made a few passes at the track. The aftermarket intake did exactly JackShit, zero gain. If you can get one for next to nothing, then whatever, but don't expect any gains over a filter change. Sounds good though.

Airbox mod with a quality high-flow air-filter, such as a K&N. Some of the supporting vendors who are into "big performance" for our motors recommend the airbox mod because some intake systems have been known to mess up the MAF sensor readings causing a possibly dangerous lean condition.

I don't know why people are bashing the AEM. I love mine. Yea it only replaces the air box, but it shows the same results. I have a bigger K&N filter on mine. Love it

They always do man. They think the factory upper cold air intake piping is restrictive (which its not at all). When AEM was designing its cold air intake for the SS/SC they saw no addtional gains by replacing the upper portion of piping. Oh well, let the kiddies on here think what they want, haha.

My intake consists of the stock 3" upper pipe on the redline, then some 3" piping to extend my filter into the wheel well. Looks stock

nothing wrong with AEM at all. Some people just don't know what they're buying before they buy it.
