Question Whats the best Pulley Brand?

Im looking to get a smaller pulley to run with my stock set up for now im not looking to go bellow 3.0. I have heard that billetflow, zzp, intense, pulleyboys, south flordia are good but there are also differences. I dont want one to rust I want to get a hub thats interchangable and I wont have to worry about changing the hub again just the pulley. Easy pulley changing. Black stock look. With no rust or corrosion. Any Guys or gals that have an aftermarket pulley give me your opionions. Or should I just wait to get the GM Stage 2 and use the pulleyboyz pulleys to fit on the gm hub. Im so confused..

I picked INTENSE before seeing that you want a black one. South florida, if I recall, has one that looks very close to stock, but I could be wrong.

just get the stage 2 setup. then when you decide to go smaller, get the ones that fit the gm hub. in case you ever need to go back to stock you won't have to change the hub

The pulleyboys fits on the hub. Its about 10 minutes to install if you already have stage 2.

They are pretty much all the same. The only differences are cosmetic.

And some have slotted ribs to prevent slipping, like my SFPH 2.8

love my intense

also read my other post on intense pulleys, 5 bolt design unlike most that have 4, has the biggest ribs for the ultimate non-slip and just bomb, never had to get a differnt belt becuuse it doesnt slip, and it looks bomb, if your going to mod your car dont worry about looking stock. i took my car to the dealership like 8 times for problems not once did they say any thing about the parts on my car

Not trying to be a smartass, but unless someone used all of them, they have no say in what’s best because they cannot compare them.

actually i think someone here had the intense pulley that was rusting....
probably just a defective pulley. Most of the aftermarket pullies seem like they have a coating on them, in my opinion, zzp, intense or billet flow, not in any special order, if yoy wanna go down slightly a size with yer stage 2 setup then the pullyboyz is the way to go, it all comes down to what you want.

Pulley Boys is identical to GM stuff. I had bought the intense pulley before but never installed it for one reason, IT HAS 2 EXTRA EXPOSED RIBS ON THE PULLEY!! Makes it look like if its from another car and not engineered for the cobalt. Just look at the pictures.

Go with Pulley Boys! But you'll need to have GM stage 2 on it for easy swaps.

The Cobras have use Billet Flow for a few years now if that helps any. SFPHQ advertises that they get the actual groove dimensions from the belt manufacturers.
