Whats your Interceptor read at idle and cruise
Installed the Intense kit last night. Tuned the WOT setting right and was wondering how to tune for the cruise and idle. Whats you Interceptor gauge read? I don't wanna run lean or anything but the numbers jump all over the place (O2 sensor). Like at high as 950 and low as 45. Sometimes when I let right off the gas it goes right to 0 and stays there till I hit the gas again. I get no KR usually but once and a while when I let off the gas and hit it again I get a up to 1.8 or so when hitting the gas half way or so quickly.
I don't think you will be able to have a LTFT inside of the -5 to +5 range (when cruising) with 42 lbs injectors on a 2005 SS. It will probably be in the -10 to -15 range.
You have to tune it to be safe when accelerating hard. About the cruising, the PCM will compensate itself.

Intense told me to tune LTFT to -5 to +5 when cruising. So thats not safe? Right now it's -7 ro -5 or so. It seems rich or something. It stalls easy from idle if your trying to craw up my driveway. Then when I go to start it back up it starts hard. The PCM adjusts for normal driving? So wouldn't that mean I don't have to touch the Base setting?
Will the car be lean at cruise if I don't have the LTFT set right? Gonna go tune in a few hours. Intense told me the PCM if pulling fuel right now so I need to take some fuel away on the MAFT so the PCM doesn't have to pull fuel.
I try to take fuel away but I get knock. It happens from idle when I punch the gas really fast but not too far down. I see a KR of 17 really quickly which drops right back right away. I'm not too sure if normal or not. I'm waitng for a nice day to tune good. I'm not driving it much right now. When I'm cruising around 70mph I sometimes get 0.3 KR for a quick second. I get 1-4 driving slow too sometimes. I'm not sure if it's normal or not.

The 2005 has been tuned form factory to run slightly richer than the 2006, so now your injectors flows 24% in top of that.
As an example, if your air fuel ratio was 10.8:1 at WOT bone stock (for the last RPM's), now with 42 lb injectors and a 2,8" pulley your AFR is probably a flat 10:1 (without any MAF-T) or slighlty richer.
I personnaly decided to install 37 lb/hr injectors with all the mods I run. I know is a temporary solution, but i don't want to run as rich as hell.
Like I said. I lean it up and get knock. It seems like even if I add fuel the knock goes away a bit but is still there. I've got the plugs gapped to .028 if that matters. I wanna know what everyone else with the Intense kit sees for knock. It's not the WOT knock just cruising. I think this is the problem with this kit.
The problem is to trick down the MAF signal when in fact, the opposite happens in the manifold.
The 2.8" pulley build boost a lot faster than the 3.34" stock pulley, so the engine is being loaded faster.
But you try to fool the PCM to think the Mass air flow signal is less than usual.
So the car adjust timing (more ignition advance) for the lower mass air flow, but the manifold pressure in fact is higher than usual.
Too much ignition advance with higher boost results in a too soon spark, giving detonation (knock).
If you truly reads 17 degrees of knock, I bet you can hear the sound of detonation, kinda like some broken dishes sound in your engine.
Also, have you watch your IAT2 signal ? Should not be more than 140 farenheit degrees, otherwise your engine will act weird.
