Who wants LSJ headers?

We have our design completed, and we plan to do some dyno testing/validation soon.

Our top quality design is a complete header/downpipe/flex section with 1-3/4" primaries, a 2-1/2" or 3" downpipe and a flanged outlet in the stock location. This will provide a simple bolt-on installation to the stock or any aftermarket cat-back system.

What material would everyone prefer? Possibilities include steel, ceramic coated steel and stainless steel.

What price would be reasonable for each of the above material choices? We need some honest feedback here, so we can try to buy enough to support whatever price level everyone thinks is fair.

I would go for the ceramic coated or stainless. Any price cheaper than what is already avaliable but 350-450 Id be in but that probably wont be possible with stainless.

Ceramic or Stainless. $400-$500

Or just make all three styles and charge different prices for each to give everyone different price ranges. Steel would obviously be the cheapest, maybe $300-$350 or so. Thanks guys!

I'd prefer stainless but would be okay with ceramic. With dyno proven gains, good fitment, and good customer support, I'd pay any price (within the realm of other offerings).

if I could vote 2 times I would so here goes again ceramic coated and only ceramic coated thus my vote is for ceramic coated from the list of 3 in which one was ceramic coated which I voted for ceramic coated so my choice is for ceramic coated and I thank you for considering my vote for ceramic coated. Hopefully ceramic coated wins.

This is all so foriegn to me...the last car I hopped up was a 1978 Monte Carlo. I bought a set of Steel headers for it for $99 brand new...that's 2 sets of 4 cylinders...

Reasonable price for a steel header is $200-250. Anymore than that and I'll make my own.

Lots of good input so far.

Our PCM tunes work perfectly with the stock airbox, and should work fine with any aftermarket cold air induction setup that doesn't distort the MAF signal too much. If your CAI makes your car run 2% leaner at WOT, then it will have exactly that same effect with a GM Stage Kit tune or an INTENSE PCM.

Can you guys do some tunes with CAI's to fix that issue? I need that fix.

it isn't clear what type it looks like a 4-1 header right.

i'd prefer stainless, with a 3" downpipe not 2.5"

I noticed you have the injen and dry flow combo did you notice good gains with it and if possible do you have the dry flow part number that fits the injen cai? I wanted that exact same combo for my setup as well

yes I'll second that by saying equal lenth 2 1/8 headers for my camaro are about 600 Jet Hot, and they are way more complicated to fab than the one on our car which has to do oh absolutly no bends or go around anything.

I would pay around 275-300 for Jet hot concidering the above statment

if not I to will make my own for about 75 bucks (it is nice when you have access to cool tools)

The gains are good. Here is the spot I ordered my dry-charger from.

http://www.injen.com/hydroshield.html straight from Injen. I don't know the part number. It's well worth it. It will extend the life of your cone.

I find that amusing that someone would pay over 700$ for A header...damn...everyday I look at this forum and other magazine, it reminds me why I have 60's muscle car...so much more power for so much less money ! 700$ gives me custom headers, yes with an S at headers, 2 of them...not one
