So true, so true. I miss my 86' Monte Carlo SS.
I bought a set of Hooker Headers for like $600.00 6 years ago.

oh and let me add this, that goes for pistons manufacturers as well, they charge 600 bucks for a set of 4, while for 600 I can get a set of 8...so yea they charge you the same price, the funny part is, while people with 4 slamer will spend the SAME amount of $$ trying to barely hit 400 hp, us V8 guys will be to buisy hiting 800...I soo hate the buisness end of the performance world....I think if you need less of something it should be cheaper, but then again, once you spend 100h designing one piston, you just enter how many you want of the same and voila...so yea technically it really doesn't cost much more to produce one or 12 of them... sigh ... so really, bigger is better in all aspec fo the performance world...oooh so angry lol

Totally different cars buddy! Why don't you do a search on stainless steal headers for 4 bangers and see what you come up with? Plus steel and stainless steal are different materails, the ladder always being much more expensive! Also I never said I would pay that, I am curious about the product!

yup I know they are different, just look at any equal lengh headers in a 69 camaro with BBC using 2 1/8 primary and you'll see what I mean: camaro=snake like primaries, cobalt=straight. The difference is obvious, and the design process for the cobalt I wager to say is about 1/2 the time due to the design volume available.

I would pay around 275-300 for Jet hot concidering the above statment

if not I to will make my own for about 75 bucks (it is nice when you have access to cool tools)
Having access to a pipe bender and a welder is soooo nice, isn't it?

I'd also like to add that exhaust system for my bike retails for $599. 2 into 1 header pipe (with plenty of bends) with a 3 peice heatsheild, all chrome plated, and a tunable Supertrapp muffler.

i'd go stainless steel since i want mine to last until i'm an old man. And a 3" downpipe would be sweet. I dunno if you can make a set of 4-2-1 long tube headers with a 3" downpipe, but i would definitely go for that at $600-650.

CTI already has a set of stainless steel headers for 700 and they're worth it if you get the discounted catback system with it but 700 by itself is still pushing it.

Any updates with a Intense PCM upgrade and a CAI setup?

Keep in mind everyone that is voting for stainless actually want it to be ceramic coated. They just can't spell correctly.

Make it out of whatever is the most cost effective and WON'T RUST!!!

If you can keep it under $400 that would be awesome!!
