What happened to your old one?

And why do you prefer the IRL to the 'Balt?

Wicked FLow Farties sound the best IMO.

My last IRL was stolen after i threw 4K dollars into it. The insurance company compensated me but it's still a bitter subject.

I don't like the IRL more. I'd take either but i won't overpay. I'm waiting for the LNF SS to come out. As soon as it does the LSJ SS prices will fall fast.

depends on what the car flows. If the car only flows 450cfm then the extra would be worthless.

Are you nuts?Your comparing an fi car to an n/a car.Didnt somebody dyno there gmpp exhaust and they got like 12 hp from it?I thought the gmpp exhaust was 2.25"?Thats what i thought but i could be wrong.

Anyways good luck with the project. It will be good for those looking for a decently priced cat back exhaust.

yes the GMPP exhaust has been dyno proven many times.
I still scratch my head at why that magazine article is dragged up time and time again.
its been discussed and discarded multiple times already.

it was done on an automatic 2.4 SS Sedan,
it was poorly tested, and they had leak issues.

once/if you get this up and coming it could be worth it to mock up a mandrel bent version as well(if you have a mandrel bender) and sell a mandrel bent stainless version as well for those of us who want the better flow and live in rust-ready environments.

Are the exhausts going to come with a cat as well? From your posts I'm guessing it'll be a one-peice exhaust and no breaks? Might be a little hard/expensive to ship that way. Personally I'd sell it in 2-3 sections that bolt togeather but if it keeps the cost down to do it your way, more power to ya.

As of right now i'm not planning on doing a mandrel bent setup. This catback is all about gaining max performance for the $$$$$. If it produces solid gains many will not care about mandrel bends.

What i want to do is produce a kit that "Should" be welded by a shop when it's being installed. Could you do clamps? Sure but welding would be the easiest and fastest way to insure no leaks.

The first "Test" Pieces should be bent up early next week so i will keep everyone updated.

Awesome...I would be very interested. I still can't completely justify shelling out that much cash for the GMPP exhaust, and it's only getting more expensive.

This would fit up on a 2.2 with no problems, right? And how hard would it be to get it sounding similar to the GMPP exhaust? I know most of us don't want anything that sounds ricey, and I wouldn't want something that's very loud. That's mainly why I planned on paying for the GMPP exhaust, but the money and questionable gains couldn't finalize it.

I've decided on the muffler's for the two test setups. Both will be Dynomax and will be ordered today. This is gonna be fun.

Let me pose the question to everyone. Would you prefer a loud or quiet catback?
