Use Decool only. It is the only approved coolant for GM.

you can use the green stuff, but only if had your motor clean out during say a rebuild and it was hot tanked and cleaned out other wise i would stick to the dexcool, but i been running the green stuff on my gms for so sometime i dont have any problems. i dont care for dexcool, but thats only my opinion, in your case just stick with the dexcool

at the moment I'm not really sure witch one to use.

So you guys are telling me that the best thing that I can do is to use the same coolant for both the radiator and the intercooler?

Distilled water, and correct it won't work if you live where it gets cold.

um, I have never changed the coolant on any GM cars. The coolant should last a long time.

Awesome insight, LOL.

Evans NPG+ is the best. Any high quality coolant (green, yellow, orange, blue or otherwise) is fine so long as you change it as needed.

Do you ever really need to change the stuff? Only time I ever did was when it leaked out due to a hose separating from the radiator.

dexcool ;asts 150k miles or 5 years, not 50k miles. so long as your car stays at normal operating temperature, the coolant is working. dexcool will do the job, or yea distilled water and the green stuff. it's all the same, they all do the same thing.

and uh, mobil 1 sucks? our cars require an oil which meets GM4718 requirements... which mobil 1 does. i'd love to hear that you're using castrol syntec, or royal purple or some 'high end' stuff that doesn't, because: "To be able to list the GM 4718M on the container, GM requires that the oil be the latest API service classification, currently the SM. RP has decided not to switch from the SL to SM formulations in the 5W20, 5W30 and 10W30 oil grades as the SM requires a reduced antiwear package and we do not feel it provides as good a wear protection as our current product." ~taken directly from a RP rep from the site. and the castrol, well.. that doesn't meet GM4718 either.

dexcool gets the job done, and for the extra $$ it lasts much longer, so it's worth it. and mobil1 ftw, or these choices http://www.gm.com/corporate/responsi...ngine_oils.pdf
