Just looking to buy an IC pump for my cobalt 2005 ss/sc and i heard we use the same pumps as an Mustang..

So wondering does anyone think this pump will work?

I meant the bracket that holds the stock pump. ,you'll also have to splice it in since it has no plug but that's pretty minor. If it works on the mustang than it should work fine on our cars since the factory pumps on both cars are the same.

half the price of the bosch unit, flows nearly the same, and is brushless?! does it being brushless mean it wont wear out as quick?

Unless you are looking to upgrade/switch to a different pump, I would consider rebuilding the pump. It takes about an hours time and $5 for brushes. One of the easiest repairs I've done.
