Yeah it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to replace the downpipe and not the header because a lot of the options are a combination header/dp...I guess you'd have to get a shorty header when you choose to replace the gmpp one.

Are you joking? Have you ever seen the inside of the LSJ downpipe? Or the crush where the o2 sensor is? A DP is one of the best things you can do , even if you keep the stock manifold.

Yea i can feel and hear a huge difference that stock cat looked really ****** restrictive plus that pinch point you mentioned definitely hurts the flow. Car feels much more solid under wot

I bet it is noticable . I was just suprised someone would think that "it's not worth replacing the DP if you don't buy a header". The DP has to be the most restrictive part on the whole exhaust system.

Can you read? Most headers are midlength combos. If you buy a downpipe to replace the stock downpipe that means you're stuck buying a shorty header which sort of defeats the purpose of increasing flow because it's restrictive.

Go try to tune your stage 3 pcm hoss.

Can you read?? I dont have a stage 3 PCM .... didn't the 2.99 give it away? So your saying if you don't buy a combo .... that the shorty header is so restrictive that it defeats the gains from a downpipe ?
